Abstract

A microfluidic system () for the isolation of cells (C) of at least one given type from a sample; the system () comprises a separation unit (), for transferring at least part of the cells (C) of the given type from a main chamber () to a recovery chamber () in a substantially selective way with respect to further cells (C) of the sample; two valves () are set upstream and downstream of the main chamber (); two valves () are set upstream and downstream of the recovery chamber (); a control assembly () is designed to govern the aforementioned valves (); the system () proposed enables isolation of the cells with a high degree of reproducibility and precision.
