Abstract
The present invention relates to process for crosslinking an arylene oxide polymer comprising a 3-pyridyl and/or a 4-pyridyl group, wherein the polymer is reacted with a compound according to Formula (1) or a compound according to Formula (2), wherein R, R, Rand Rare independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy and cyano. The crosslinked arylene oxide polymer can be used as a membrane, in particular a proton conducting membrane.
