Abstract
An information processing apparatus () is provided including: a lexicon generation module () operable to identify strings of characters present in a set of social media posts (); a network data generation module () operable to generate network data in which posts are associated with nodes and link data () link nodes corresponding to posts which contain similar sets of strings of characters; and a network analysis module () operable to process network data generated by the network data generation module () to determine one or more metric values for each of the nodes wherein the metric values are determined based on the patterns of connectivity defined by the link data (). The generated metric values are then utilized to select one or more posts () as posts representative of the set of media posts.
