Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the transverse drawing of an unoriented or longitudinally-oriented film web made from thermoplastic plastic. According to said method, an undrawn or longitudinally-drawn film () is introduced into a transverse drawing frame in which heater fields () are heated to a transverse drawing temperature T, in the attached drawing fields () a clip chain is drawn in the transverse direction by divergent (V-shaped) guides and a temperature Tis applied to fixing fields where T>T. In the drawing fields and/or the heating fields () the boundary zones () of the film () are heated or thermally insulated such that the boundary zones () of the film () have a higher temperature than the middle of the film web () on transverse drawing and/or fixing.
