Abstract

The cap screw () has a threaded portion () having a nominal diameter (D) that is greater than the diameter (D) of its shank. The device comprises an anti-creep ring () designed to receive screw (), one end of which has features (---) suitable for delineating, before ring () is engaged in a recess () of element () that is to be screw fastened, a circular area having a diameter (D) that is greater than the nominal diameter (D) of threaded portion () and, after said ring () has been engaged in said recess (), a circular area (D) having a diameter (D) that is less than the nominal diameter (D) of threaded portion (), but greater than the diameter (D) of shank (), so as to act as a stop for said threaded portion and trap screw () in ring () while permitting limited movement of the screw.
