Abstract
The present invention relates to a non-cryogenic process for the large scale synthesis of disentangled ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (DUHMWPE) polymers. The process comprises of the following steps: with a hydrocarbon solvent containing poly-methyl aluminoxane (P-MAO) co-catalyst in a vessel under stirring before polymerization or directly in the polymerization vessel at a temperature ranging between 25° C. and 29° C. under a dry Nitrogen atmosphere; and lower concentration of co-catalyst resulting in the associated benefits as described earlier in the claims and descriptions.
