Abstract
The invention relates to a driver assistance system for a vehicle (), wherein the driver assistance system has at least one controller () installed in the vehicle () and/or at least one sensor device () installed in the vehicle (), wherein the at least one controller () and/or the at least one sensor device () has a communication interface () which can be used to transmit data directly between the controller () and/or the sensor device () and a portable communication appliance () at least in one direction by bypassing a data transmission system () inside the vehicle, wherein the data transmission causes the portable communication appliance () and the controller () and/or the sensor device () to interact such that at least one function can be performed which assists a driver in driving the vehicle (). The invention also relates to a vehicle () and to a method for assisting a driver in driving a vehicle ().
