Abstract
The present invention relates to an optical fiber containing a glass fiber and a coating layer in contact with the outer circumference of the glass fiber, and a method for manufacturing the optical fiber, in which the coating layer contains silane coupling agents represented by the following formulae (1) and (2): in the formulae, Rrepresents a group capable of reacting with an acryl group or an acryl group, and Rto Rare each the same or different and represent an alkyl group.
