A display device (A) according to the present invention includes a first substrate (), a second substrate () facing the first substrate (), a first electrode () formed on the first substrate (), a second electrode () formed on the second substrate (), and an electrochromic layer () provided between the first electrode () and the second electrode () and containing an oxidation coloring-type dye and a reduction coloring-type dye.
