Abstract

A refrigeration cycle devicewhere a combustible refrigerant circulates includes a bypass pipethat is connected so that part of the refrigerant that flows through a circulation pipe extending from a condenserto a flow control valvebypasses the flow control valveand an evaporator; a bypass flow control valvethat controls the amount of the refrigerant flowing through the bypass pipe; a heat exchangerthat allows heat exchange between the refrigerant that flows through the bypass pipeafter flowing out of the bypass flow control valveand the refrigerant that flows through the circulation pipe after flowing out of the condenser; and a subcooling degree sensor Tthat detects the subcooling degree of the refrigerant at the inlet of the flow control valve. At least either the flow control valveor the bypass flow control valveis controlled so that the subcooling degree of the refrigerant at the inlet of the flow control valveis equal to or greater than or a predetermined value.
