Abstract

A chisel holder comprises a body zone () having a chisel receiving opening () that is open at least in the direction of a chisel insertion end () of the body zone (), and also comprises a fastening shaft () which extends from a supporting end () of the body zone () and has a longitudinal shaft axis. A fastening member-affecting zone is provided on a first side of the fastening shaft (), and a supporting zone () that has supporting surface regions () which are inclined relative to each other and adjoin each other in a transition zone () extending in the direction of the longitudinal shaft axis is provided on a second side of the fastening shaft (), said second side lying opposite the first side relative to the longitudinal shaft axis. Said chisel holder is characterized in that the transition zone () is designed like a cavity, or/and at least some sections of at least one supporting surface region () project radially outward from a basic outer peripheral surface () of the fastening shaft () in relation to the longitudinal shaft axis.
