Abstract

A clamp () for a flexible tube, in particular an infusion tube, composed of a substantially U-shaped plastic band, the free end () of the first branch () of the U being bent over to form the clamp head (), to the free end () of the second branch, or back (), so that, when closed, the back's free end () rests under the head's free end (), and when opened, the back's free end () is at a distance above the head's free end (. The clamp has openings () for extending a flexible tube and two opposite projections () for obturating the flexible tube by compressing it when the clamp is closed. Locking means () prevent the head end () from moving away from the back end () when the clamp () is in the closed position.
