Abstract

Electron beam sterilization equipment includes an outer-surface sterilization zone Zfor sterilizing the outer surface of a container B by emitting electron beams when the container B is transported along circular paths Land L; and an inner-surface sterilization zone Zfor sterilizing the inner surface of the container B. An electron beam irradiator Eis located near the upstream side of a 1-2 joint J-of the circular paths Land Ldisposed in the outer-surface sterilization zone Z, and a electron beam irradiator Eis located near the downstream side of the joint. Thus, the electron beam irradiator Eand the electron beam irradiator Eare brought close to each other so as to sequentially sterilize the one half outer surfaces and the other half outer surface of the container B.
