Abstract
According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display unit and a mounting stand. The display unit has a housing, a display panel housed at least partially within the housing, an engaging member joined to the housing at a first predetermined location and a processing unit configured to control the display panel to display a position indicator at a second predetermined location substantially corresponding in height to the first predetermined location. The mounting stand has a plurality of engaging parts disposed at different heights for engagement with the engaging member and a plurality of position marks disposed at third predetermined locations, the third predetermined locations being respectively at the different heights and visible when the display unit is mounted on the mounting stand.
