Abstract

The present invention relates to a skin composition which has an excellent effect on smoothing or repairing wrinkles. The composition comprises Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 (Palmitoyl-Lysyl-Dioxymethionyl-Lysine) and(Pepper) seed Extract which combination has been found to result in a synergistic effect on hyaluronan synthase 1 (HAS1) mRNA expression in human fibroblasts. The hyaluronan synthase is responsible for the synthesis of hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) in skin. Hyaluronic acid is a constituent of the extracellular matrix of the skin and responsible for space filling, tissue repair and retention of moisture.
