Abstract

Provided is a projection video display device with which precision of location of each component of the optical engine and the projection optical assembly is maintained and display video quality not impaired even if exterior force is sustained. A projection video display device comprises an optical engine () which projects light which is emitted from a light source () upon a liquid-crystal panel () and forms a video, and a projection optical assembly () which projects an enlargement of the video which is emitted from the optical engine (). The projection optical assembly () and the optical engine () are configured to be anchored to a common base () which retains these in an integrated manner, with the common base () being attached to the casing of the device.
