Abstract

Provided is a radiation detectorcapable of improving reliability associated with radiation detection. The radiation detectorincludes: a supporting substratethat can transmit radiation there-through; a scintillator layerformed on one principal surfaceof the supporting substrate, the scintillator layerincluding an incident surfaceon which radiation is incident and an emission surfaceemitting light generated by the incident radiation and on a side opposite to the incident surface; and a light detection portiondisposed on an emission surface side of the scintillator layerfor detecting light emitted from the emission surface
