A colorant-containing particle that comprises a colorant and a polymer represented by (A-R)—R—(R—P)wherein Ris organic linking group; Ris single bond or divalent linking group; Ais monovalent organic group containing organic dye residue etc., m is 1 to 8, n is 2 to 9, m+n is 3 to 10; Ris single bond or divalent linking group; Pis polymer backbone containing Si, has excellent dispersibility and dispersion stability.
