Abstract

An attachment system principally use on garment () provides a number of aligned loops () on the garment and a number of aligned loops () on a load such as an equipment pack (). The load also includes an elongate securing member that extends from the load with a flexible proximal portion () and a stiffened distal portion (). The stiffened distal portion () can be very readily threaded through successive ensemble loops () and load loops () to pull the flexible proximal portion () through the loops () to attach the load () to the garment (). The stiffened distal portion () is then fed back through the loops () to provide a geometric lock that prevents the load () detaching from the garment (). Various loads can be attached in this way.
