Abstract

An air pollution control device is an air pollution control device for reducing the amounts of NOx and Hg contained in flue gasfrom a boiler. The air pollution control device includes: NHCl solution supply meansfor spraying an NHCl solutionby a spray nozzleinto a flue gas ductat the downstream of the boiler; a mixerprovided on the downstream side of a region where NHCl is gasified, for promoting mixing, with the flue gas, HCl and NHwhich are generated when NHCl is gasified; a reduction-denitration deviceincluding a denitration catalyst for reducing NOx in the flue gaswith NHand for oxidizing Hg under the coexistence with HCl; and a wet desulfurization devicefor reducing the amount of Hg oxidized in the reduction-denitration deviceusing a limestone-gypsum slurry
