A thermoelectric material including a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1MCuBi(TeSe)  (1)wherein in the Chemical Formula, M is at least one metal element, and x, y, and z independently satisfy the following ranges 0<x≦0.1, 0<y≦0.05, and 0≦z≦0.5.
