Abstract
An optical measurement method that can suppress variation in detection sensitivity even if an optical probe is bent, and an optical probe suitably used for the method are provided. An optical probeincludes an optical fiberthat transmits light between a proximal endand a distal end, an optical connectorconnected with the optical fiberat a side of the proximal end, a focusing optical systemand a deflecting optical systemoptically connected with the optical fiberat a side of the distal end, and a support tubeand a jacket tubesurrounding the optical fiberand extending along the optical fiber.
