Abstract
Image matching deviceof the invention includes feature image extracting sectionsextracting one or more partial object images containing a local structural feature from an object image and extracting one or more partial reference images containing the local structural feature from each reference image, first image detecting sectionsetting each of the partial object images as an image of interest and detecting a first partial image most similar to the image of interest from a set of partial reference images, second image detecting sectiondetecting a second partial image most similar to the first partial image from a set of partial object images, and determination processing sectiondetermining whether or not the image of interest matches the second partial image and outputting the result of the determination.
