Abstract
The effort required to develop a device object is reduced. A host computerhas objects including a printer COthat provides a POS application programwith an interface for each type of device, and a printer SOthat provides the printer COwith an interface to each device type and executes a process by device unit. A wrapper SOexecutes the process instead of the printer SOwhen at least one of the methods called by the printer COis called, and then calls a method of the printer SObased on the result of the executed process. When the printer COcalls other methods, the wrapper SOcalls the printer SOmethod.
