An attachment deviceis for attaching and removing a distance measuring instrumentto and from an angle measuring instrument, and the attachment device comprises a base unitwhere the distance measuring instrument is fixed, a fixing unitfor fixing the base unit on the angle measuring instrument, and an optical memberfor deflecting a distance measuring light from the distance measuring instrument so as to concur with a sighting optical axis of the angle measuring instrument.
