Abstract
Disclosed are phosphors of formula (I) (LnGdSm)MgSr(AlB)O(I), where Ln=Y, La and/or Lu; a, c=0.0 to 1.0; 0<b<0.2 and a+b<1.0; w=1.0 to 3.0; x, y=1.0 to 2.0 and z>0.0 to 12.0, and to a process for the preparation of these phosphors and to the use thereof as conversion phosphors for conversion of the near-UV emission from an LED.
