Abstract
A polyester resin is a polymer of a carboxylic acid component and an alcohol component including a rosin diol represented by the formula (1), wherein an acid value is from 10 mg KOH/g to 30 mg KOH/g, a content of carboxylic acid having a rosin skeleton in the resin is 1% by weight or less, and a content of carboxylic acid except carboxylic acid having the rosin skeleton in the resin is 1% by weight or less: wherein, Rand Reach independently represent hydrogen or a methyl group, L, Land Leach independently represent a divalent linking group selected from the group consisting of a carbonyl group, a carboxyl group, an ether group, a sulphonyl group, a chain alkylene group, a cyclic alkylene group, an arylene group, and combinations thereof, and Aand Arepresent a rosin ester group.
