Abstract

A medical apparatus () is provided, comprising a closure device () comprising a first or distal member or portion adapted to be placed on one side of an opening in a wall of a bodily organ, and a second or proximal member or portion adapted to be placed on the opposite side of the opening in the wall of the bodily organ, an insertion assembly () comprising at least one actuator operatively connected to at least one of said first or second members, wherein the insertion assembly further comprises at least one motor () adapted to maneuver said at least one actuator. In one embodiment the medical apparatus comprises further a closure device (), which comprises a locking member () and a tubular member () having two sets of struts () being provided with a hinge section, and an insertion assembly (), which comprises a holder () and an actuator, the holder being releasably engaged in the locking member and the actuator being releasably engaged with the tubular member.
