Abstract
An eccentric oscillating gear device comprises a crankshafthaving an eccentric portion, an externally toothed gearhaving external teeth and a through-hole in which the eccentric portionis inserted, an outer cylinder, and a carrier. The carrierrotatably supports the crankshaft. The outer cylinderhas internal teethmeshed with the external teeth of the externally toothed gear. The eccentric oscillating gear device is provided with rotational phase adjusting meansfor setting an orientation of the crankshaftabout an axis thereof, on the basis of orientations of the outer cylinderand the carrierabout an axis thereof.
