Abstract
Well cement compositions comprise water, an inorganic cement and one or more fillers having a thermal expansion coefficient (CTE) that is lower than about 3×10/° C. The presence of low-CTE fillers may reduce cement-sheath shrinkage when the well temperature falls during stimulation treatments, cyclic steam injection or when the well temperature reaches equilibrium at the top of a long casing string.
