Abstract

The present invention relates to compositions comprising silver nanoparticles for treating eyelash and eyelid margin infections and to methods of treating eyelash and eyelid margin infections, including infections by fungi, mites (e.g.,) and lice (e.g.,). We describe exemplary compositions, which may be formulated as a mascara for enhancing the appearance of the eyes, and their use in treatment of such infections.
