Abstract

A top-emission organic electroluminescence device () includes in order a first electrode (), one or more organic layers (B) including a blue-emitting layer (B), a second electrode (), and a capping layer (), wherein the capping layer () is formed of a material that satisfies the expression 'n(λ=430 nm)−n(λ=460 nm)>0.08' (where, n(λ=x nm) indicates a refractive index at a wavelength of x nm) and has an extinction coefficient of 0.1 or less at a wavelength of 430 to 500 nm.
