Abstract
The embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and a RBS to reduce the RNC load. This is achieved by letting the radio base station identify RRC connection requests and performing RRC connection rejects. In this way, excessive load of RRC requests done by typically Smart Phones can be rejected in a good way by the radio base station and therefore free up capacity in RNC, making it possible for RNC to execute useful traffic to a higher degree.
