Abstract

A method for regeneration of a particle filter () pertaining to a combustion process, which filter treats exhaust gases arising from combustion in a combustion engine (): During regeneration, controlling the engine () according to a first mode and a second mode, in the first mode, the engine () is controlled such that a high exhaust temperature is generated, determining a temperature of the particle filter (), and controlling the engine () according to the first mode when the temperature determined is below a first value until the temperature reaches a higher second value, and then controlling the engine in the second mode. The invention relates also to a system and a vehicle ().
