Abstract
A method for producing a Chydrocarbon from a solution containing a Ccarboxylic acid or a Ccarboxylate which is derived from biomass by contacting the solution with a solid catalyst to decarboxylate the Ccarboxylic acid or the Ccarboxylate, thereby forming a Chydrocarbon.
