Abstract

A radiation-curable rheological assistant which comprises a compound comprising at least one (meth)acrylate group and at least one urea group of the formula —NH—(CO)—NRRconnected thereto wherein Rand Reach independently of one another are hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, with the proviso that at least one of the radicals is other than hydrogen, a process for preparing the rheological assistant by reacting at least one compound which has at least one isocyanate-reactive group and at least one (meth)acrylate group with at least one di- or polyisocyanate, use of the rheological assistant in radiation-curable coating compositions, such radiation-curable coating compositions, and the use of such radiation-curable coating compositions.
