Abstract
A composition for preventing or treating a viral infection, which includes an ethanol extract ofas an effective component, is provided. The composition exhibits low toxicity and few side effects and effectively inhibits reverse transcriptase activities to suppress synthesis of DNA, and thus can be useful in preventing or treating infections caused by various kinds of RNA viruses.
