Abstract
A system () includes a monitor () and a STB (). The STB () notifies the monitor () of a request for reconnection with the monitor () with the use of a new channel in a case where it is determined that overflow has occurred. The monitor () determines whether or not underrun has occurred in a receive buffer in which video data supplied from the STB () is buffered.
