Abstract

A tool holder () in the form of a boring head, a chuck, a milling cutting arbor, or the like, is equipped with a damping element () in the form of an elongated body that is arranged in an end housing () of the tool holder (), with corresponding shape and size. The tool holder that is characterized in that it includes a device () for preventing excessive heating of the damping element ().
