Abstract
A portable electronic device comprises illuminating unit () configured to illuminate extrapupillarily the skin covering a user's eye cavity with optical radiation, thus resulting in diffuse propagation of optical radiation energy to an optically sensitive tissue of the user's eye, and adapting unit () for adapting the illuminating unit () to the user's head.
