Abstract
In a method for transmitting a channel quality information on the quality of a communication channel in a radio communications system the system includes a regular cycle for transmitting the channel quality information in an uplink direction from a communication unit to a network, and the method including suppressing in the communication unit the transmitting of the channel quality information based on a pre-defined condition.
