Abstract

An abrasive article including a body having a bond material and abrasive particles contained in the bond material, the abrasive particles including a composite composition having alumina (AlO), iron oxide (FeO), and silica (SiO). The abrasive particles further include an aspect ratio of at least 1:1 and an average porosity in a range of about 0 vol % to not greater than about 15 vol %.
