Abstract

A pharmaceutical composition useful for hepatoprotection is provided. The composition comprises an effective amount of kinsenoside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof. An aqueous extract ofspp. is also provided. The extract is substantially free of ethyl acetate-philic components.
