Abstract

An endoscope hood () has a cylindrical shape with both ends opened and is mounted on a tip end portion () in a longitudinal axis direction of an endoscope () provided with an optical system at least including an observation system () and a treatment system to be used. The endoscope hood () is provided with an endoscope mounting unit () having a base end side opening () configured to be mounted on the tip end portion () of the endoscope () and a hood main body () having a tip end side opening () of which outer diameter perpendicular to the longitudinal axis direction is smaller than the outer diameter of the base end side opening (), wherein, in a state in which the base end side opening () is mounted on the tip end portion () and the tip end portion () is seen in the longitudinal axis direction, the optical system and the treatment system are located on the inside of the tip end side opening ().
