Abstract

In order to accurately illuminate a lighting target with planar light having few nonuniformities, a backlight () is provided with a light guide plate () having multiple leg members () protruding from an attachment part (), which is the surface opposite of an emission part (), and a chassis () having holding units () into which the leg members () are inserted.
