Abstract

A sound generatorfor an anti-noise system for influencing sound waves propagating in exhaust systems or intake systems of vehicles driven by an internal combustion engine includes a loudspeaker basket, a membranesupported by the loudspeaker basket, a permanent magnetsupported by the loudspeaker basket, a voice coilsupported by a voice coil carrierand a membrane stop. The voice coilis located within a constant magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet. The voice coil carrieris supported by the membrane. The membrane stopis located on the loudspeaker basketadjacent to the membrane. The membrane stopincludes a projectionextending towards the membrane. An anti-noise system using the sound generator and a vehicle using the anti-noise system are also provided.
