Abstract

The present invention provides a mechanism for operating a vehicle split seat whereby operation levers of two seat backs can be arranged compactly on a wall surface of a luggage compartment or the like such that the two operation levers have the same pivot support point, without impairing operability of the levers. Two operation leversare respectively connected to locking mechanisms of at least two adjacent seat backsB by way of operation cables, the operation leversbeing formed of a central leverand an outer leverprovided outside the central lever having the same pivot support point, operation parts being provided on the free end sides of arm parts of both the leversand operating spaces X, Y, Z which allow both the leversto be operated individually also being provided.
