Abstract
A process for producing a rubber composition which includes mixing a silica and a sulfur-containing organic silicon compound represented by general formula (1): or the general formula (2): under a temperature of 130° to 180° C. to produce a surface-treated silica; and combining the surface-treated silica with a rubber component.
