Abstract

An aspect provides a method, including: receiving, at a low power wireless communication subsystem of an information handling device, a beacon from a wirelessly connectable device; determining, with the low power wireless communication subsystem, if the received beacon warrants executing a communication protocol; in response to determining the received beacon warrants executing a communication protocol, powering on a main system component and a higher power wireless communication subsystem; and establishing a wireless connection between the higher power wireless communication subsystem and the wirelessly connectable device.
