Abstract
A data processing device for incorporating one or more scanned data files generated by an image scanning device for storage into a file in a specified format (e.g. an Excel file) equipped with a plurality of display areas (e.g. spreadsheets), which is capable of receiving user's designation of one of the display areas to which each of the scanned data files is allocated to (S), and modifying configuration data (e.g. part files) of the file so that each of the scanned data files is allocated to one of the display areas according to the user's designation (S).
